Last week, U.S. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla., brought U.S. Rep. Mike Bost, R-Ill.. to Homestead Air Reserve Base in South Florida.
Bost leads Republicans on the U.S. House Veterans Affairs Committee. Gimenez also sits on the committee.
The two congressmen received a briefing and a tour from Col. James Frickel, the vice commander of the 482nd Fighter Wing. They also held a round table on veterans’ issues.
“South Florida has a deep and special military culture. It was an honor to welcome the Republican leader of the VA Committee Rep. Mike Bost to Homestead Air Reserve Base. I remain committed in Congress to ensuring our servicemembers and their families have every tool they need to succeed,” Gimenez said.
