Attorney General Ashley Moody, working with state and federal partners, announced this week that she took part in a nationwide effort that has secured more than $40 million and around $500,000 for the Sunshine State by investigating Medicaid and assisted breathing device rentals.

Ferrin, who has worked in Florida politics and government for more than a decade, most recently served as the interim secretary and chief of staff for the Florida Lottery. 

In the Florida House, state Rep. Lawrence McClure, R-Dover, filed a bill on Wednesday which will offer “general liability protection for Florida businesses, schools, nonprofits and religious institutions making a good-faith effort to follow established federal, state and local guidelines” and its “liability protections apply retroactively to any newly filed lawsuit.”
