Donald Trump: ‘Florida Election Should be Called in Favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis’

President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday and called for crucial elections in Florida to be called despite continued recounts and overseas and military ballots postmarked by November 6 to be accepted until November 16.

Currently three statewide races are being recounted. Gov. Rick Scott holds a slight lead in his challenge of U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Democrat Nikki Fried has a small lead over Republican state Rep. Matt Caldwell in the agriculture commissioner race. In the gubernatorial contest, former U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., holds the lead over Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.

Trump posted his thoughts on the matter on Twitter.

“The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged,” Trump posted. “An honest vote count is no longer possible-ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!”

Trump has been active in Florida during the 2018 elections, backing DeSantis over state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam during the Republican primary. The president also encouraged Scott to challenge Nelson.

In the final days of the campaign, Trump campaigned across the Sunshine State, appearing in Fort Myers to rally Republicans on Halloween and hitting Pensacola over the weekend before the election.

  1. Absolutely! Broward and Palm Beach are a disgrace to Florida! Snipes needs to be charged and prosecuted!

  2. Definitely should go with Election night. NO one knows where or how these new ballots were found. They had plenty of time to be found before election night but weren’t. Way to fishy that they get found after the election and most were Democrat votes! Very very suspicious and unfair.
