Eighty percent of white evangelical Christians helped propel President Donald Trump into the White House. Early on, the mystique and astonishment of Trump securing his party’s nomination produced rumblings about the prophetic nature of the election among evangelicals and other religious leaders.

Prominent Bible code expert Rabbi Matityahu Glazerson purported to have found evidence that Trump would win prior to the 2016 election. Televangelist Frank Amedia said, “The Lord spoke very clearly to me and He said to me ‘This man is going to win the nomination and I want you ready to serve my cause when I call you.’”

How can a man who has a history of misogyny, less than compassionate communication skills and only seemingly opportunistic confessions of faith continue to win the hearts of evangelicals?  Moreover, is hubris leading him to believe he is God’s gift to man or does his political prowess merely recognize his dependence on the evangelical vote?

Several prominent evangelical leaders such as Franklin Graham and Pat Robertson have caressed the notion that President Trump is implementing God’s plan. Graham told the Associated Press, “I think somehow God put him in this position. Because he’s not a politician, he seemed to do everything wrong as a politician: he offended many people, did the wrong things – but somehow he became president. And I just have to think that God, in some reason, put him there for a purpose. I don’t know what that is, but we need to get behind him and support him.”

Evangelicals, who make up roughly one-quarter of the US population, overwhelmingly support Trump (69 percent of white evangelicals in a recent poll ) because his policies show respect for their traditional values and align with many of their views on prophecy.  His presidency has become an enormous irritant and resistant to globalism, Islamic fundamentalism and denouncing American exceptionalism. The lawless corruption in the halls of Congress made Trump’s rallying cry “Drain the Swamp” a perfect match.

Immigration control, another Trump signature issue, is no exception.  Many speculate that the majority of evangelical Christians support Trump’s proposed immigration policies and the wall in particular because of ancient texts. They cite how, often times, a prophet would proclaim the instruction of God to build a wall in direct correlation to freedom, defeating an enemy or a return to faith. Sixty-seven percent of white evangelicals support Trump’s wall.

Trump’s policies regarding Israel have further fueled the prophetic nature of the Trump presidency. After he moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, Fox News host Jeanine Pirro claimed that Trump had fulfilled a biblical prophecy. When Trump recognized Golan Heights as Israel’s, Benjamin Netanyahu  compared him to King Cyrus the Great, the Persian king who is credited with ending the Babylonian reign over the Israelites. Trump has enjoyed being a perceived asset to Netanyahu’s campaign. Israel, after all, is where their prophecy commences.

When asked if he believed God sent Trump to save Israel from Iran, Secretary of State Pompeo replied, “As a Christian, I certainly believe that’s possible.”  Pompeo as well as Vice President Pence and six other members of the president’s cabinet serve as White House sponsors in the Capitol Ministries where they participate in Bible studies, evidence of the thick-as-thieves relationship Trump has fostered with his Christian base.

There is no doubt Trump is reveling in this new alliance.  In an interview with Pat Robertson prior to the mid-term elections last year, he said, “Nobody’s done more for Christians or evangelicals or frankly religion than I have.” While that may or may not ring true, the president is more of a stop-gap in a faith-based position against what they believe as fundamentally evil, and not a biblical character.

Trump’s “Deal of the Century” may ironically be a deal-breaker with evangelicals who will suffer disappointment regardless of the way the peace plan pans out. If the peace plan is successful in securing peace in the Middle East then, according to their prophetic ideology, they will either have to acknowledge that their beloved Trump is the perceived antichrist or be exposed for an overzealous misinterpretation of ancient script.

Either way, Trump has certainly had the opportunity to bask in the adoration of this group, whether he is truly appointed by God Himself or simply by his base.

In the mid 1960’s after a colorful collegiate career, Ken Klein found himself on the playing field with both the San Francisco Forty-Niners and the Houston Oilers. However, his playing days as a pro would be cut short by a devastating injury. Henceforward his whole pathway was redirected. Looking back at the wake of his life, he has produced twenty-one documentary films, written and published four books with two additional manuscripts waiting publication, and two films scheduled for production in 2020. He also was senior pastor of three churches and raised a family of three sons. Together with his wife, Jan of forty-five years, they have seven grandchildren. His many years of researching films, writing scripts, and with great appetite for ancient prophetic texts, he has gained the high ground of a rarefied panoramic glimpse of world history and what lies ahead for the future. Ken has appeared on hundreds of radio programs and TV shows across the country. His most recent book was released in February of this year –  “The Deep State Prophecy and the Last Trump.”

Listen, here it is. Trump is a New York liberal turned populist. He parlayed bluster and unorthodoxy to get past a dozen lackluster Republican opponents who were heavy on their feet and slow of wit. His general election opponent was a tired old hag who covered up her husband’s rapes of young women and enriched herself at the expense of the taxpayers. Trump was not sent by God to save America or Israel, the latter being a socialist democracy that obtains 38 billion in welfare cash from the US it neither needs or appreciates. It is far from the monotheist Hebrew state of the Old Testament. Trump’s appeal is anchored firmly to his not being as bad as his opponent. He has not ended one war, cut one cent from the budget or reduced the deficit. If he wins in 2020 it will be because he isn’t a gay man from South Bend, as old as the communist from Vermont, or a socialist of any of stripe offered by the Democrats. It most assuredly won’t be because he is a gift from God.

God did send Trump. It’s a modern variant of a biblical plague. He used to send frogs, famine and disease. I’m also guessing he was all out of locusts. God is learning to be more subtle with his curses upon mankind..

I believe this is true. Trump is not a gift from God but from satan!

While watching “Cracking the Prophetic Code” by Ken Klein in 2000, 21 years ago, I was astounded by so much of his revelations coincided with mine.

You say a lot of things that are true, but not one of them establish the certainty of your conclusion. And many of them do as well or better refuting it. Maybe that is why Klein left the question an open one. He is wise enough not to confuse feelings about facts, with theological truth. Your opinions are duly noted. I would remind you to consider the scripture verse: God works all things for good to those who love him and live according to his purposes. Last I heard, ‘all things’ include even bad things. Every problem is an opportunity, every opportunity is a privilege. I liked Trump because I liked what I thought his policies would do to improve the country.

You have to agree if you liked Trump or disliked him that he did improve our country and changed things for the better unless you like the way things are now inflation , high gas prices , high food prices and i could go on and on but i wont . What we have right now is the worst ive seen in my 64 years of life and we could of had it all under Trump!

Satan rules earth. God gave it to him in the Bible. Trump is neither God fearing or Christian. Trump did absolutely nothing for this country. He is a traitor, a liar, a thief, and a cheat. He mishandled the pandemic from the very beginning. He is the closest thing I have ever seen to Hitler.

Most of his followers are ignorant, lower class, racist whites who barely get by. Many of them never voted. None of them studied let alone understand the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, or how the government even operates. Sadly they are totally against the Critical Race Theory (CRT). I have questioned many and not found one person who has ever read it. A real American gets the vaccine, wears a mask, and does their best to protect their relatives, friends, and neighbors. I was raised in a farming community. When the polio vaccine came out the whole town marched down to the school gym after church. Each one of us was given a sugar cube and our name checked off on a list. We did that 3 consecutive times over a 3 months period. Not one person bitched. We were Americans, it was our duty.
My relatives arrived here in the mid 1600’s. Most fought in the revolutionary war and Civil War. I spent 30 years in the military service on the front lines. I was on a nuclear submarine packed with enough fire power to end the world. It was my duty 24/7/365 ready to launch.
Most of the folks have no idea about the history of this country. They believe Trump is their savior. You think he cares about any of you? Go on down to his Florida residence and meet with him…

Oh yeah? What exactly did he do for this country? I’d like to hear what he did that made everyone’s life so much better.

Also you stated God works all things for “good”. I don’t know how you can turn that around to include “bad things”. I would like to see chapter and verse also.
