Last week, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., announced he will donate his first-quarter U.S. Senate salary to two organizations committed to supporting Florida’s children and seniors.

Liberty Youth Ranch in Bonita Springs is a residential program for vulnerable children, and Advance Senior Center in Kissimmee provides programs and resources for seniors to promote health, exercise and entertainment.

Scott will donate his second-quarter Senate salary to Guadalupe Center in Immokalee to support their efforts to break the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee, and the Florida Chapter of the ALS Association to help fight ALS on all fronts.

“The spirit of service in Florida is unmatchable. We have so many incredible organizations and individuals committed to helping others and making our state the best place in the nation to work, raise a family and live your dreams. My wife, Ann, and I are honored to support the selfless service and missions of Liberty Youth Ranch, Advance Senior Center, Guadalupe Center, and the ALS Association as they tirelessly work to help Floridians, from children to seniors, lead happy lives,” Scott said.

Stop sending funding to esp. out of state, out of our country issues and RELEASE the unemployment compensation benefits that the DEO has been HOLDING since November, 2020 thru an error on THEIR part! We write to Scott, Crist, DeSantis, Biden, and Belnken and only ONE has responded with a useless suggestion, and a suggestion to do what we have already been doing since November to WRITE to our elected officials AND the DEO, but no one responds/obviously doesn’t care about. Meanwhile, the government has been receiving THEIR income and benefits while holding up much-needed u.c. benefits income that we lost due to DEO’s error! Please, won’t someone help? 6-11-2021
