David Simmons Wants to Raise the Age to Buy Tobacco in Florida to 21
Last week, Florida Senate President Pro Tempore Sen. David Simmons, R-Longwood, filed the bill as “part of a comprehensive strategy to prevent tobacco addiction.” The bill “would raise the age of sale for all tobacco products to 21 with strong retailer licensing, clear definitions of tobacco products and clear protocol to enable active enforcement.”
