Florida TaxWatch commissioned a Mason Dixon poll which was released on Thursday, showing 63 percent of Floridians support e-fairness legislation that would require out-of-state retailers to collect online sales taxes.
At the end of last week, Florida TaxWatch announced “five taxpayer priorities” for the 2021 Legislative Session, which will begin on March 2 and adjourn on April 30.
“The Florida Chamber’s annual jobs and competitiveness agenda – the Florida Business Agenda – is a set of priorities that will help grow private-sector jobs, continue to create economic opportunity in Florida and further diversify our economy,” said Charles Caulkins, a partner at Fisher Phillips and the chairman of the Florida Chamber.
For the third year in a row, Bill Herrle, NFIB’s executive director in Florida, said his group is ready to push for cutting the business rent tax.
