The program, administered by DEO, is designed to train Floridians in trades necessary to support disaster recovery efforts.
The funds are being offered through the Rebuild Florida Voluntary Home Buyout Program, which is designed to provide funding for local governments to purchase residential property in high flood-risk areas to help reduce the risk of impact from future disasters.
These funds are available through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program. Hurricane Michael hit the Panhandle back in October 2018.
Since Hurricane Maria struck the island in 2017, Puerto Rico has been experiencing power outages and structural damages to important power plants.
