Mark Warner, D-Va., the chairman of the committee, sent a letter to the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, National Security Agency Director General Paul Nakasone, Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray, and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Acting Director Brandon Wales, urging the Unified Coordination Group to name a leader in the United States’ response to the SolarWinds cyber breach that has affected numerous federal agencies and thousands of private sector entities.

Scott has been seeking information on what steps the FBI has taken to address critical deficiencies in its handling of actionable intelligence on the perpetrators of acts of mass violence in Florida, including the tragic shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and Pulse Nightclub. This letter follows A response from the FBI to Scott’s continued requests for this information that the senator considered “inadequate.”

“I just spent two weeks at home in North Florida. No one is talking impeachment,” Waltz said.

“I’m not going to ask you to comment about any specific cases, especially in this setting, matters that are highly compartmented,” Rubio said.

“According to the report, at least one Florida county was breached during the 2016 election,” said Waltz.

On Friday, a day after the Mueller Report was released to Congress, Scott wrote Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Christopher Wray “requesting the FBI immediately provide any information to corroborate claims in the Mueller report of Russian interference in Florida’s election systems.”
