On Monday, Gov. In his role as state fire marshal, Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis said first responders across the Sunshine State do not have the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) they need as they grapple with the coronavirus pandemic.
“During the call, the CFO stressed the importance of being prepared for major policy directives that may require increased manpower, such as the deployment of drive-thru testing on a statewide level, as public services become further strained,” the CFO’s office noted.
