Florida Congressman Calls on State Department to Condemn Global Dog and Cat Meat Trade
U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., led a letter last week to U.S. Sec. of State Mike Pompeo, urging him to use diplomatic pressure to raise the issue of the troubling trade and consumption of dog and cat meat and the need to condemn this harsh trade throughout the world, and specifically, in China, South Korea, Vietnam, and other Asian countries.
