Chao said ports in 15 states and territories will get these funds including the Port of Palm Beach.

Chao announced the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will send more than $273 million for airport safety and infrastructure grants to 41 states and the District of Columbia, American Samoa, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Marshall Islands, Palau and Puerto Rico.
The money will be used to build Berth 214 and other projects including utility and stormwater improvements, dredging, a gantry crane rail extension and a new container gate. The projects are expected to cost around $55 million.

This marks the second major grant that DOT has sent to Lakeland Linder in recent months. Back in September, Spano, who sits on the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the U.S. House Aviation Subcommittee, announced DOT was sending $10.15 million to Lakeland Linder to improve its main runway and to reconstruct runway lighting.
