The Florida Disaster Fund is the state of Florida’s official private fund established to assist Florida’s communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster.
More than six months after Hurricane Michael hit the Panhandle, Keiser University helped the continuing recovery efforts, donating $50,000 to Volunteer Florida’s Florida Disaster Fund and the Bay Law Enforcement Assistance Fund (BLEAF) on Wednesday.
“The Florida Disaster Fund helps provide financial support to Florida’s communities in times of disaster. To make a contribution, please visit www.FloridaDisasterFund.org or text DISASTER to 20222 to make a one-time donation of $10. Duke Energy has already donated $50,000,” the governor’s office noted.
