Florida Realtors Chief Economist Dr. Brad O’Connor and Dr. Sean Snaith, the director of the University of Central Florida’s (UCF) Institute for Economic Competitiveness, will share their insights as part of the Florida Realtors’ annual Mid-Winter Business Meetings at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld from Jan. 22 through Jan. 26.
The Florida Realtors released a report last week which showed more single-family home sales and higher median prices last month when compared to November 2018. There were also more pending sales and pending inventory last month compared to a year ago.
Last week, the Florida Realtors noted that the number of foreigners buying homes in the Sunshine State are starting to drop even as domestic sales remain strong.
According to a report released at the end of last week, Florida’s housing market continued to grow in the third quarter of 2019.
The Florida Realtors released a report this week noting there were 23,510 single-family homes sold in the state in September 2019 which is 11.5 percent higher than sales from September 2018.
The Florida Realtors released a report on Wednesday which showed almost 28,150 single-family homes were sold across the state last month, up 10.4 percent from July 2018.
“Low mortgage rates drove a major improvement in sales in the second quarter, which was more than enough to compensate for the rocky start we had at the beginning of the year,” said Florida Realtors Chief Economist Dr. Brad O’Connor.
“Candidates were evaluated on numerous factors, including their voting record on issues that are relevant to the real estate profession,” the PAC noted.
Florida Realtors, formerly known as the Florida Association of Realtors, serves as the voice for real estate in Florida. It provides programs, services, continuing education, research and legislative representation to its 180,000 members in 54 boards/associations.
The PAC announced its endorsements on Monday afternoon.
