Fans are clamoring for change after Alabama was crowned as the national champion for the sixth time in the last 11 years. We did not get the Clemson against Alabama matchup that so many people say they are tired of seeing--but the same players were in the playoffs. 

In case there are any other coaches reading this, you never, ever, ever call a timeout when a team has its back against the wall needing a field goal longer than 49 yards to tie or win a game.

Shortly before kickoff, the game between Florida State and Virginia was called off and no make-up date has been announced. Again, a positive COVID-19 test led to no action on the field--but this time Florida State is ravaged. After contract tracing, the team would have only had 44 scholarship players available for the game.

Fans, administrators, players and even coaches are mad after Florida State pulled the plug on playing Clemson just three hours before kickoff on Saturday.

How do you see the Heisman race? I made a list, in order, of the young men I believe have the best chance of taking home the trophy as it currently stands. Sadly, Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz contracted COVID-19 and isn’t on the list. He had a brilliant opening game as the new starter against Illinois and Wisconsin looked very dangerous with him at the helm.

With the Big 10 and PAC 10 backing out of the season, the winner of the 2020 college football season will forever have an asterisk next to their name. 

With the season over, there are plenty of interesting developments for college football in Florida. 

More than any other year in football, the teams outside the top 10 simply are not all that good.

Last week, I wrote that we would learn a lot about the state of football in the state of Florida this past weekend and, boy, did we ever. 

There are a lot of questions surrounding the ACC, including whether or not its teams should  have a shot at the college football playoffs.

The number one team in college football should be an easy choice, right? Alabama was the pre-season number one and defending national champion. As long as they don’t lose, the Crimson Tide should stay number one, right?

After what I saw from Florida and Florida State this week, paired with Miami last week, football in the Sunshine State is as bad as I can remember it. #OhFlorida.
