John Barrasso, R-Wy., Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., and Jim Risch, R-Idaho, on an amendment which “would ensure the proper constitutional check by requiring that the President submit to Congress any renewed nuclear deal with Iran as a treaty" and “reaffirms the Senate’s role of advice and consent, as well as prevents waiving, suspending, reducing or limiting the application of sanctions before the Senate has concurred.” Johnson took the lead in filing the amendment.

Marco Rubio, Rick Scott Urge Joe Biden to End Negotiations With Iran

On Wednesday, U.S. Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rick Scott, R-Fla., joined more than 40 other Republicans in the U.S. Senate in sending a letter to President Joe Biden, calling on him to immediately end negotiations with Iran, and make clear that sanctions relief will not be provided, especially as that nation continues to support Hamas which is continuing to launch terrorist attacks against Israel.
