The U.S. Labor Department announced this week that it will send $28,394,746 to DEO as part of $118 million in Dislocated Worker Grants (DWGs) to help “address the workforce-related impacts of the coronavirus public health emergency.”
U.S. Labor Sec. Eugene Scalia announced that the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), the Maryland Department of Labor, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development will run the “Support to Communities: Fostering Opioid Recovery through Workforce Development” program.
The funds are part of $80,684,142 in grants from the Labor Department, including almost 50 Career Services and Training Grants totaling $74,562,142 for and $6,122,000 for nine NFJP Housing Grants.
