U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., said she will support the articles of impeachment when the House votes on the matter on Wednesday. 

In a letter sent on Friday to Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, state Senate Democratic Leader Gary Farmer, D-Lighthouse Point, requested that a criminal investigation be launched by her office into whether President Donald Trump committed crimes against the state by encouraging a mob of his supporters to storm the nation’s Capitol.

In one of the most dramatic and disgraceful days in recent American political history, the Florida delegation reacted as a mob of supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol and interrupted the counting of the Electoral College votes as incoming President Joe Biden readies to head to the White House later this month. 

With early voting well under away in the Sunshine State, Obama is scheduled to stump for Biden in Miami on Saturday and is expected to hit other parts of Florida in the final days of the campaign.

“Florida is a ‘must-win’ state for any Republican presidential candidate, as a path to 270 electoral votes is virtually impossible to reach without the 29 from the Sunshine State. It is obvious that Trump can’t afford to lose here,” the pollster noted.

What kind of debate happens where one candidate is asked a question,‭ ‬answers it,‭ ‬but the other candidate does not get the same chance to share their answer and draw any needed contrasts‭? F‬rom the onset,‭ ‬this debate was perverted by the moderator to the detriment of both candidates.

If Pence did not move the needle, he did offer Trump a road map in case the two debates scheduled for later this month take place. Now it’s up to the president to use it. 

The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) and President Donald Trump’s team are trying to get their campaign back on track--but it will difficult with COVID-19 dominating the headlines.

Trump made the announcement on Twitter early on Friday morning. 

Specifically, the four members of Congress who sent the letter--U.S. Reps. David McKinley, R-WV, and Susan Wild, D-Penn., also signed the letter--urged the administration to proactively study the most efficient way to distribute a vaccination once developed, which would save lives and help life return to normal.

“You make a lot of important decisions as president. But the first one is who you select to be your vice president. I’ve decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021,” Biden announced.

Mason Dixon released a poll of likely Florida voters this week which shows Pence in solid shape in the Sunshine State. Pence is well known in Florida with 39 percent seeing him as favorable, 37 percent as unfavorable and 23 percent are neutral about him. That’s far better than Trump who is seen as unfavorable by 51 percent, favorable by 41 percent and 8 percent are neutral about him.
