This week, Wright filed a bill which “will allow Veterans Florida the resources to connect employers to our talented military members transitioning to civilian life and new career opportunities" and it “will accomplish this by implementing the Department of Defense’s Skillbridge program initiative throughout the state.”

Republicans have controlled the Legislature in Tallahassee and the Governor’s Mansion for two decades but the state Senate has often, especially in recent years, proven to be a challenge for conservatives on everything from budgetary matters to Second Amendment issues.
