Florida saw advanced energy employment increase by 5 percent in 2019, more than double the state’s overall job growth rate. With more than 182,000 workers in Florida, the advanced energy industry has become a significant segment of the state’s economy.
Entitled Shining Cities: The Top U.S. Cities for Solar Energy, the study, which is in its seventh edition, is the most comprehensive survey available of installed solar capacity in major U.S. cities.
Florida Atlantic University’s (FAU) recent survey revealed climate change has 68 percent of Floridians “concerned about the well-being of future generations in Florida.”
At the end of summer, more than 36,000 FPL customers were taking part in the program with that number expected to rise to more than 40,500 this month.
