One proposal failed to garner a simple majority. Amendment 4 which would have raised the standard on state constitutional amendments by having them pass two general elections before being included in the Florida Constitution, had less than 50 percent support.
The proposed amendments need to garner 60 percent support to be added to the state constitution. Some polls released this week show Amendment 2 is losing traction but still clears that threshold while Amendment 3 does not.
On Election Day, Florida voters will cast their ballots on Amendment 3 which would allow all registered voters to vote in the primaries regardless of political party affiliation, as well as Amendment 2, which will raise the state’s minimum wage, and state Rep. Blaise Ingoglia's role as one of the Trump campaign’s top surrogates.
Trump did better on Thursday night but he needs more than this to turn this around.
