Rubio joined U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez, D-NJ, the top Democrat on the committee, in a letter to the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. on the matter. 

Yoho rounded up more than 30 cosponsors for the resolution including U.S. Reps. Ted Deutch, D-Fla., and Brian Mast, R-Fla. 

There are reports that the Chinese regime has constructed more than 380 camps to hold members of the Turkic Uyghur population in Xinjiang.

“I am grateful that my colleagues joined Senator Scott and I in recognizing the Tampa Bay Lightning‘s incredible 2020 season, the team, and the entire organization on winning the Stanley Cup,” Rubio said. “I am proud that Tampa, Florida is home to this amazing organization, and it is fitting that this resolution honors their incredible achievement.”

Back in June, Rubio introduced the “Hong Kong Safe Harbor Act” with the support of U.S. Sens. Ben Cardin, D-Mary., Bob Menendez, D-NJ, Jeff Merkley, D-Oreg., and Todd Young, R-Ind. The bill “would provide those Hong Kongers who peacefully protested Beijing’s corrupt justice system, and have a well-founded fear of persecution, to be eligible for Priority 2 Refugee status” and is in “response to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) actions to implement its Law of the People’s Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.”

“Taiwan has more than earned its place in the WHA with its contributions to global public health and work to save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The time to restore Taiwan’s observer status is now,” Yoho insisted. 

Only 32, Cammack will be the youngest Republican woman serving in Congress when she takes her seat in January. 

Earlier this month, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., announced they would introduce a resolution to congratulate the hockey team.

Back in January, U.S. Rep. Michael Waltz, R-Fla., the first Green Beret to serve in Congress, introduced the “United States-Israel PTSD Collaborative Research Act.”

“The legislation directs the U.S. Department of Justice to develop best practices for assisting professionals – law enforcement, firefighters, emergency personnel, social workers, court officials, and medical professionals – who encounter and support people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia,” Deutch’s office noted.

Rosewood, which was in Levy County, was the site of race riots as white Floridians destroyed that largely African-American town. While official statistics record six African Americans and two whites were killed in Rosewood in the first week of 1923, unofficial estimates range from 27 to 150 deaths.

Last week, U.S. Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, D-Fla., introduced the resolution.
