Trying to keep the GOP in control of the Governor’s Mansion in Florida, former U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., is calling on Republicans at the national level, including several members of the Trump administration, to help him out in the final days of the campaign against Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum.

While he didn’t win the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, billionaire Jeff Greene continues to help his party with funds. 

Crist urged backers this week to support U.S. Rep. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., as she continues her bid to unseat U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., in one of the most closely watched Senate race in the nation. 

Curbelo appeared on “CNN Newsroom” on Thursday and expressed his opposition to Trump saying he was open to issuing an executive order on citizenship.

Looking at various media markets in the state, Scott is up big in Pensacola, Panama City and Jacksonville while Nelson holds commanding leads in Miami and West Palm Beach. Nelson holds slighter leads in Tampa, Tallahassee and Gainesville while Scott is up in Fort Myers and Orlando.

The DeSantis team announced on Wednesday that Rubio would campaign with the former congressman on Thursday. They are scheduled to hold events at the Alpha and Omega Church Iglesia Cristiana De Miami and at the Versailles Restaurant.

Earlier in October, Rubio joined Young and Gardner in calling on Trump to investigate the Saudi role in Khashoggi’s death and consider sanctions. 

Sanders, who backed Gillum in the primary, will appear in Orlando at the University of Central Florida with businessman Chris King, the Democratic lieutenant governor candidate, and state Rep. Sean Shaw, D-Tampa, who is running for state attorney general.
